Coronary angioplasty is a procedure which is used to widen blocked or narrowed coronary arteries. The term ‘angioplasty’ means using a balloon to stretch open a narrowed or blocked artery. - Cerebral angioplasty: It is a procedure that uses a special dye and x-rays to see how blood flows through the brain.
- Coronary artery stent: It is a tube-shaped device that is placed in the coronary arteries to supply blood to the heart.

A coronary angioplasty is performed using a local anesthetic, which means the patient will be awake when the treatment is performed. It usually takes from 30 minutes up to 2 hours to complete this treatment.
